SPICE Management Panel Meeting

Paris, November 1st, 2006

Basically as a consequence of the Austin Meeting and the coming calls within the FP7 program a first meeting with most members of the SPICE management panel was held at IPG Paris. The agenda was to start structuring the discussion for SPICE follow-up projects particularly given the rapid developments of our US colleagues. The discussion resulted in plans to consider new two project types, one focusing on training and research on seismic inverse problems and another one focusing in the development of the required e-infrastructure in seismology and related fields. It was decided to wait for the FP7 calls and then organize further meetings with SPICE lead scientists and others to prepare FP7 proposals. These meetings are taking place in February and March, 2007.
